Email us your project name, location, and the number of credits needed — or call and we'll take the details over the phone.

Research & agreement
We confirm your project is a match and issue an acknowledgment and pricing commitment quote.

Contract for purchase
Once the quote is accepted, we prepare the purchase and sale agreement.
04
Completion of sale
After signing and deposit, you receive a notarized Affidavit of Sale and a Bill of Sale.
What is nonpoint source pollution?
Nonpoint source (NPS) pollution is caused by rainfall or snowmelt moving over and through the ground, picking up natural and human-made pollutants and carrying them into lakes, rivers, wetlands, and coastal and ground waters.
Eligible projects
Credits can be used when any one of these applies:
• Project site under 5 acres
• Runoff reduction quota below program thresholds
• 75%+ of quota already met through best management practices (BMPs)
• Virginia Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (VPDES) or Virginia Stormwater Management Program (VSMP) permit holders meeting the Chesapeake Bay strategy or a total maximum daily load (TMDL)
• Project site under 5 acres
